The Land of Kłodzko - the area of the District of Kłodzko (1,643 km2 and 182 thousand inhabitants) is functionally and physio-graphically distinct from the rest of the Lower-Silesian Province.

It is surrounded by mountain ranges forming a natural barrier, separating it from the rest of the country, and creating a form of an enclave.

The Kłodzko Valley and the surrounding mountains are a part of central and eastern Sudety - in the west, towards the south direction, we can see Suche Mountains, Stołowe Mountains, Orlickie Mountains and Bystrzyckie Mountains;

while in the east, towards the south, Złote Mountains, Bialskie Mountains and The Śnieżnik Massif. In the north the Kłodzko Valley is closed with Bardzkie and Sowie Mountains.
