SKANSEN KULTURY LUDOWEJ PRZEDGORZA SUDECKIEGO Adresse: Pstrążna, 57-350 Kudowa Zdrój

The Open Air Museum was founded in 1984 in order to save and protect the traditional culture, especially the wooden country architecture. Various buildings were reconstructed here, for example: a brick inn, belfry and barn. Every interior is equipped with tools and instruments coming from the 19th century and connected with a country home, agriculture and handicraft.

Thinking about the tourists the museum organizes annual open air spectacles or shows, for example "Cepowisko" to open the season or farewell to summer when we can enjoy the taste of potatoes in fire. Folk or amateur groups add colour to the shows. Very popular are also shows of "striking the iron while it is hot", bread baking or butter making. Bread is baked according to old recipes of country housewives.
